The rather superb SoKo is back. After her song 'I'll Kill Her' went big on the internet, she seemed to disappear for a while. Apparently it was due in part to her wanting to focus on her acting and in part because she got fed up with only being known for that one song. Anyone that’s listened to Soko’s music before may be well aware of her quite distinct style of song writing. Her soft soothing voice, along with the ambience and tranquillity of the accompaniment, is somehow embedded with an obscure use of words to describe long, lost, youthful love; and it works to procure a loving sense of innocence which if anyone else was to sing, would quite frankly just be laughable.... Directed by herself, Soko , a delicate french singer-songwriter, has a new music video. This video is also the title track of her forthcoming album I Thought I Was An Alien.  Besides how cute she is, "I Thought I Was An Alien" is filled with dry humorous lines and motions of vintage cinematic styles. It's funny because we thought too. This is another song from SoKo's new album. It's within her aura of music, but its a little dreamier than "Shitty Day" or "I'll Kill Her" and less quirky.
