Shuttle unveiled the very "cute" looking KPC small form factor computers today at CES. The computers come in your choice of black/white/blue/red colors and will run an as of yet unknown version of Linux. The deal clincher for these computers will be the extremely attractive $199 price tag. Meanwhile, a comparable barebones kit (bring your own cpu/video card/memory) will sell for only $99. Press images of the KPC computers look just fantastic. Technical specs hasn't been revealed yet, but with those prices the internals should be quite modest.

A week before Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Apple has updated its Mac Pro computer line for the first time since August of 2006. The new Mac Pros features the latest Intel (Penryn-based) 45 nanometer Quad-Core "Harpertown" Xeon processors and for the first time offers dual quad core chips as its base configuration. In addition, Mac Pros now come with the latest ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphic cards and a new PCI Express 2.0 graphics slot for faster bandwidth.
