The wonderful Bradford Cox is back in Paris with Deerhunter this Thursday at La Maroquinerie for their unique show in France! No need to tell you how much we loved their last album "Microcastle" and last year we saw their show at La Route du Rock, it was totally intense and awesome! We have 3 tickets to win for the show !
Deerhunter are in Australia next week. Hooray! Can't wait. Here, they are caught recently live from Noise Pop .
Deerhunter Live @ Noise Pop 2009. Watch the whole hour long performance here. This show is just amazing. I have really been getting into this band over the past few months. Get ready for an extensive post on these guys tomorrow.

Just a heads up to anyone around the Auburn area (that counts you Atlanta and Athens readers), as Atlanta five-piece Deerhunter are set to perform here in town tomorrow night at 9pm at Ford Ct . This is actually sort of a big deal as bands like this never come around to this neck of the woods; this fact I can certainly attest to. It'll be $10 at the door (I think) and as far as directions are concerned, I couldn't really tell you as [...]
Last week, Deerhunter played at San Francisco's NoisePop festival, and thanks to the people at Wolfgang's Vault , their entire 56-minute set has hit YouTube. The band kick off the proceedings with a recording of Springsteen's "Born to Run" then go off on a run of Cryptograms and Microcastle tracks before debuting four new tracks near the 30 minute mark. The four new tracks are more Microcastle than Cryptograms, which is a good thing, because the band are conquering their brand of noisy pop. The thing is pretty long, but it's [...]

Earlier we posted a couple new songs St. Vincent debuted at NoisePop last week. The folks at Wolfgang's Vault captured Deerhunter's set in its entirety from "Born To Run" to a bits from Cryptograms and Microcastle through to the extended exeunt, which marks the final or four new tracks. One of the newbies, the spare, marching-paced "Famous Last Words," is maybe the closest you'll ever come (maybe) to hearing Deerhunter do a Strokes song. As a bit of local flavor, toward the end of the performance, Harvey Milk gets a "Hazel St." dedication. "Never [...]
For anyone who attended last week's Noise Pop fest , it's no secret that there were HD video cameras all over the place at every gig. While we had heard rumblings that the video would be in the edit bay for the better part of 6-8 months, it looks like the release cycle will be far faster than that. Three full length gigs (Deerhunter, Ra Ra Riot, and Port O'Brien) have been posted on YouTube, and supposedly the remainder are making their way to streaming music beheamoth Wolfgang's Vault . Suffice it to say, [...]
I hope I get to hear some of these new jams in person at Harvest Of Hope this weekend. Here is all 56+ minutes of their set: © Davy Minor for Ohmpark , 2009. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Deerhunter
(via P4K ) A full set from Atlanta's current finest, featuring four new, ready to road test tracks. Whatever you think of Bradford Cox and co, you can't say they aren't prolific...
ZACH THAT: Thanks to p4k for posting this amazing fifty seven minute live concert video of Deerhunter . Four new songs are featured. Love the band and love this video. Enjoy my friends:
Bradford Cox, Lockett Pundt, Moses Archuleta, and Josh Fauver (but not Whitney Petty ) played Noise Pop 2009 last week at San Francisco's Mezzanine , and Wolfgang's Vault has video of the whole Deerhunter set. It's great to see the Atlanta band continuing to gain force and confidence, most evidently in Cox's voice-- it's right up front-- along with the slight variations and extended jams they've added to [...]
Deerhunter played last week in my favorite city in the nation, San Francisco, at Noise Pop . Deerhunter's entire performance is available above, which is exciting for me as Deerhunter is one of, like, maybe three new-ish bands that I care about and are 110% worth a damn. The show sounds real good, though it's weird not hearing B. Cox's voice liquified by swells of reverb.
