I like Sean Bones . I can't say I've felt the need to latch on to one of his LPs, but I'm still willing to champion him just because of the steady stream of quality singles that he's had over the last couple of years. Below is his latest effort. It's part of the Converse Rubber Tracks series, which you can get more information on by clicking here . Enjoy. : Sean Bones - United : I imagine that plenty more upbeat pop numbers will make their way into my inbox over the next few weeks, [...]
![SEAN BONES TAKES US BACK TO THE EIGHTIES [VIDEO]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4224199_lg.jpg)
Brooklyn artist Sean Bones (@indianabones) just released the video for “Here Now”, the first track from his forthcoming full-length album, Buzzards Boy . Here, this sunny, pop-rock song is paired with footage that alternates between Bones singing beachside and 80’s summertime scenes clearly taken from a few old VHS tapes. Sean and his bandmates worked with producer Shane Stoneback (Sleigh Bells, Cults, Vampire Weekend) for the first time on this album, so we're [...]

B3|fam Chris Gedos recently had the chance to interview a NY group who's been ample in our discussions within this last year. So it's great to learn a little more about Slothbear - a band with much more to be learnt about. CG: A little background. How did Slothbear come into existence? How long have you been playing together for? Who mans what instruments and do you trade off depending on the song? CH: I wrote to Josh on MySpace in 2006 [...]
Everything feels a little easier after listening to this track from Sean Bones - it just oozes good vibes. And this VHS video is cool too.

Sean Bones (who looks a helluva lot like young Ian Brown ) sure doesn't suffer from the Broklyn Depression Syndrome we mentioned in the previous blog post. His music has always been upbeat and often inspired to the "sunniest" of genres: reaggae. This video for the new single "Here Now" - also track-opener of his upcoming full length - confirms the guy's fascination with ultraviolet rays, but abandons carribean musical references in favor of a more straight piano driven indie pop.
