Most of you I'd believe at this point have heard of the untimely passing of Adam Yauch aka MCA who made up 1/3 of the Beastie Boys , this past weekend. It really came as a surprise even though the emcee has been battling cancer since 2009, and it really took a couple days to sink in. Beastie Boys founding member Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch is dead at 47, due to cancer.  Russell Simmons' Global Grind broke the initial news.  He was being treated for a cancerous tumor in his salivary gland in 2009, and missed the Beastie Boys' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction last month. Everyone had hoped, and assumed, he was over it.
