Si en su anterior disco, "5:55" , Charlotte Gainsbourg había trabajado con colaboradores de la talla de Air y Jarvis Cocker (entre otros); esta vez la hija del emblemático Serge Gaainsbourg trabaja codo a codo con el mismísimo Beck . El disco se llama "IRM" y Beck las hace de productor y principal colaborador. De hecho, en el primer single, titulado "Heaven can wait" , ya se puede apreciar que tal la mezcla entre ambos. A little while ago we mentioned that Charlotte Gainsbourg had been working with Scientoligist-it's-ok-to-like, Beck , on her new album IRM. We also posted the title track , which was released as a free download a few weeks back. Now, the first single proper, 'Heaven Can Wait', has emerged and it's a lovely, plinky plonky strumalong, with Beck and Gainsbourg sharing vocals over a Beatles-esque melody and some rather lovely brass. Please note, smoking isn't cool unless your French. Fin.

Don't get too excited, "Heaven Can Wait" is not a cover of the Meat Loaf ballad from Bat Out of Hell, but the wispy voices of Charlotte and Beck over the otherwise chunky, clumsy track from the upcoming IRM (releasing in January) has its own appeal. The album's title track is also available to download with an e-mail sign-up at Charlotte's web site.

Charlotte Gainsbourg told Jessica that for her third studio album IRM she and her producer/main collaborator Beck: [T]ried very different things, and then gradually it was ... homogène. [The songs are] all in different styles but one proper album. I was able to go and try a blues song, then go into more of a pop song. I even tried a rap that didn't work out because I wasn't very good... We've had a chance to hear the edgy, Kraut-pulsed, MRI-lined title track and the Antichrist star does, [...]

"Heaven Can Wait" es el título del primer sencillo de IRM , el más reciente disco de Charlotte Gainsbourg . En el proceso del álbum, Beck estuvo muy involucrado. A pegação O encontro musical de Charlotte Gainsbourg com nosso querido Beck Hansen até aqui está bastante aprovada. "IRM" , álbum dela produzido e tocado por ele, até agora tem duas faixas correndo soltas pela web. A primeira é a faixa-título, disponível para download do site da moça e a segunda é essa "Heaven Can Wait" , que surgiu hoje e é basicamente uma faixa do (ótimo) álbum anterior do Beck ("Modern Guilt") com um toque feminino.
