Through life and Death, MJ rumors still spread Here are the top rumors about Michael Jackson that are either just stupid, or have some shred of truth. Michael Jackson faked his own death Are they fuckin serious. Excuse the language but let the man have his peace. Tupac did not fake his own death. Elvis did not fake his own death. Let them all have their peace. Thank you. Al Malnik claims [...]

The thing I keep coming back to about Michael Jackson's death is his dancing. The primary motivation of Jackson's music can be found in this wonderful nugget from Quincy Jones about "Billie Jean": "I said, 'Michael we've got to cut that intro'", Jones later recalled. "He said, 'But that's the jelly!'...'That's what makes me want to dance'. And when Michael Jackson tells you, 'That's what makes me want to dance', well, the rest of us just have to shut up." And if there was ever a song made for dancing, it's "Billie Jean." There is no performer in the world [...]

When I heard the news yesterday I didn't want to believe it. I thought cats were joking or something. Then when I heard cats blast michael jackson songs in midtown it started to set in. I played Thriller on the way back home and thought about what happened. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Thriller is the best pop album ever made. I mean Off the Wall and Bad are great but Thriller is his magnum opus. Not even the lame duet he did with Paul McCartney could deny it's legendary [...]

Eins og flestum ætti nú að vera orðið kunnugt um er Michael Jackson látinn, aðeins fimmtugur að aldri. Fregnir af andláti hans bárust eins og eldur um sinu á internetinu í gærkvöldi og voru flestir ef ekki allir slegnir að heyra um fráfall poppgoðsins. Það er varla til það mannsbarn sem ekki þekkir Michael Jackson og er því ekki ofsögum sagt að hann hafi verið Elvis okkar tíma, þó svo að ólíkir hafi þeir verið. Jackson vann að undirbúningi tónleikaraðar sem átti að marka endurkomu hans í tónlistarheiminn en á sama tíma að vera hans síðasta. Tónleikaröðin átti [...]
A look back at a few of Jackson's most iconic moments.
Michael Jackson - "Smooth Criminal" If there's one thing MJ did better than anyone , it's music videos: "Thriller", "Black or White", "Scream", and of course, "Smooth Criminal", just to name a few. All epic in their length, cost, scope, and awesomeness. Above you'll find the full, 10-minute version of the "Smooth Criminal" video, which is an all-time favorite of mine (skip to 7:15 for the how-did-they-do-that lean that I loved so much as a kid). You can say and think what you want about the man's personal life, but his musical career is full [...]

This morning I woke up sad and still in shock over the death of an all time great- Michael Jackson. If like me you you grew up in the 80's/90's his music was the soundtrack to your life. The first record I ever remember playing was Bad which I used to play day in day out when I got it age 4, I have vivid images of dancing around my bedroom to smooth criminal. Another great memory of mine is discovering the 'Off The Wall" album in college and dancing with my friends around our house ( a true [...]
I know it's MJ everywhere, but for good reason. This one was my all time favorite.

First and foremost a HUGE HUGE HUGE RIP to the one and only Michael Jackson. I think I'm still in shock that he's actually dead. True, he was completely bat shit crazy, but he pioneered pop music, and no matter what he will always be the king of pop. The "Thriller" video always terrified me but I watched it anyways b/c it was (and is) awesome. His music always takes me back to elementary school when our 4th and 5th grade classes sang "Man in the Mirror" at school assemblies. What a sad day. RIP MJ. What a shitty week [...]
Two iconic artists passed away today: Sky Saxon (frontman of early 1960s garage band The Seeds) and Michael Jackson . Sky Saxon had been hospitalized on Monday, reported in Spinner as "suffering from an undisclosed illness" . He played his last gig on Saturday night at Antone's in Austin, Texas. Along with groups like The Sonics and The Monks, The Seeds , formed in Los Angeles 1965, were a crucial part of the first wave of garage rock. Their '65 single "Can't [...]

It is so, so sad. It has been confirmed that Michael Jackson has died after suffering cardiac arrest in Los Angeles. Rest in peace, MJ.

I was cleaning out one of my old bags for storage and out came Bad. Shamow! I hadn't listened to the full album in years, so I stopped what I was doing and popped it in my CD player. When Michael sings 'your butt is mine', I'm transported back to the first time I saw [...]
