Barsuk Records is excited to announce that Yellow Ostrich are heading out on a fall tour in support of their latest album Strange Land. The headlining tour begins October 26th at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia and wraps up November 14th at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. The jaunt also includes dates with Sharon Van Etten. In conjunction with the tour, the band is releasing a 6-song effort entitled Ghost on October 23rd, available digitally and on vinyl exclusively at these shows.

I have been loving Strange Land from Yellow Ostrich since I got my grubby paws on it. The Shakedown was one of favorites from the get-go and this video is fantastic. They are on tour now and will be at Lollapalooza this year. Check 'em out. They put on a great show. Tweet

Yellow Ostrich are without a doubt one of the more original indie rock groups in the game right now. Their new video for “The Shakedown” furthers helps my point. While the song starts off a sweet vocal driven ballad, the song evolves into an all out rock show appropriate time, full of choppy guitars.
