The missing resin caper has been solved and Reading Rainbow 's LP was finally pressed onto vinyl about a month later than intended. Upon arrival, Mystical Participation will spend more than it's fair share of time with my phono. Also note that their record release party will be a thousand miles away from me in their hometown, Philly, at Kung Fu Necktie on the 21st. There is nothing like a girl/boy duo who make lo-fi pop music, especially in the summer time. Reading Rainbow hail from Philadelphia, a city that seems to be producing more and more great music acts these days. Anyways, Rob and Sarah make absolutely charming synth-pop, the kind of music that could stop war altogether and help usher in world peace. Philadelphia's lo-fi psychedelic garage duo Reading Rainbow , named after the PBS show starring Star Trek alum Levar Burton, are set to release their debut album Mystical Participation August 1.
