I wouldn't have had Ezra from Vampire Weekend down for a punk but he proves me wrong by ably joining Fucked Up during their 12-hour gig marathon in NY. A few weeks back we posted a video of Fucked Up jamming with Moby at the 12-hour long show they put on Rogan on Manhattan's Lower East Side in October. Our friends at Rhapsody gave us the heads up on this video going like of Ezra Koenig singing with F***ed Up in a basement. Yeah, those are some legendary punk covers from Blitz and the Descendents . We always suspected Vampire Weekend were heavy into the Descendents but DAMN at the Blitz song!

I never thought I'd be writing a headline even close to that, but in less than a year, Fucked Up's gone from the light bulb factory to playing all their indie-rock cards just right.
