Earlier this year, as I'm sure you all are aware, pop music lost a legend. Michael Jackson's passing marked the loss of one of the most innovated men in show business. As you know, each year in October, I do something Halloween related. And this year is no exception. But this year, there's more to it than just a poll or a user pic change, this year I want to do something in tribute to one of Michael's most iconic moments and one of the best Halloween songs ever released. [...]
Since the departure of MJ last week, the internet has been going bananas for the 'king of pop'. Shed loads of dance remixes, all put together in a bit of a rush and perhaps also a bit too soon. Which explains why peeps are still turning to the originals. 2.6 million Michael Jackson songs were downloaded this week; just so you know, no artist has ever sold more than 1 million downloads in a single week! The King has spoken. Not only that but Jackson is dominating in online video, too. Videos of Thriller have been [...]

Filipinas ejercita a sus reclusos con una hora de coreografías pop por día. ¿Se podrá implementar acá?.
If you've spent any time idling around on the Internet in the past week or so, you've probably seen this clip of hundreds of prisoners in the Philippines performing an elaborate dance routine to Michael Jackson's "Thriller." But did you know that this wasn't just a fun day for the inmates in question, but rather a compulsory program intended to "drastically" improve their behavior? Or that a few of this program's alumni have gone on to become professional dancers? Now you do : Prisoners have also performed to songs by local artists, Queen and [...]

A little zen for your friday. "Thriller" Live From The Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Cebu, Philippines. Inmate #455457760g656 aka Burgus Bahag-hari was orginally cast to as the lead zombie but suffered a fatal sharpened plastic spoon wound to the chest. He was found in the latrines near cell block D - just before his big debut. They were murmurs around the grounds that a love triangle might be at the root of it. This video is frickin' awesome. ENJOY!

From the YouTube description: "1,500 plus CPDRC inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines at practice! This is not the final routine, and definitely not a punishment! just a teaser."
Just the one question, really. See if you can guess it. Wtf? Apparently these inmates of the Philippines' Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center have done this before , but we were inspired to post by their faithful take on the original (also, we're suckers for that arms-up Thriller dance). On the one hand, it's good to see inmates being rehabilitated in a way that will help them become productive members of society (if by "productive member of society" one means "able to lurch around like a zombie"). On the other [...]
