Дэн Лопатин готовит к выходу на Software /Mexican Summer альбом «Replica», который будет представлять собой цикл электронных зарисовок, построенных вокруг лоу-фай звука, взятого из телевизионных реклам. Видео на заглавную композицию представляет собой замедленную версию мультфильма «Ну, Погоди!», и если зарубежным слушателям придётся дополнительно расширять сознание, чтобы прочувствовать, что именно имел в виду Дэн, русские оказывается по другую сторону – каждый из нас отчётливо понимает всё, что происходит на картинке.  Получившийся мультфильм пропитан особенной тоской, и мне кажется, именно его стоит пересматривать, когда не доходят руки «Ну, Погоди!», будет даже полезнее.

The video for Oneohtrix Point Never's "Replica" is cinematic and affecting, which is surprising, since it's 100 percent composed of cartoon wolves in slow motion mode, starting motorcycles, enjoying a smoke and sleeping in a hospital bed. Seriously though, this video is haunting in a way I can't describe, which makes me feel sort of dumb. Like, liking this would be like watching Hanna Barbera all day and saying you learned something about the human condition. I feel like there's not enough weed on earth to explain this to someone.
