Goin’ Old School isn’t a trip down music memory lane, it’s a mugging in the dark alleyway of nostalgia: First up is some seriously smooth early ‘80’s, 1982 to be exact, electronic Soul from Imagination and their classic ‘Just An illusion’. In the starkest contrast possible we have Front 242 , with arguably their Poppiest song, ‘Tragedy For You’ from 1989. And finally some relaxing, experimental, tones from Tangerine Dream ’s ‘Tiergarten’ from 1985. Actually the flip side to ‘Le [...]
Imagination - Just an illusion (Ysi) Imagination - Changes (Ysi)

I'll get over this old school thing soon but this is worth posting about for the awesomely bad (meaning good) video alone. As part of their Juno 10 project, Juno Records have today released a pretty cool Lindstrom reworking of 'Just An Illusion' by eighties disco funkers Imagination, along with the original. As a further part of the project Dimitri From Paris has also contributed a couple of nice remixes of the Imagination track 'Burnin Up', which was originally on the flip side to the 1981 hit 'Flashback'. mp3: imagination - just an illusion.
