Cold Specks , might be their year to explode. Being featured on BBC’s Later… With Jools Holland and some loving from the critics. I was lucky enough to see them open up for St.Vincent back on December 16, 2011 . Cold Specks is the stage name of Canadian singer-songwriter now based in London, UK Al Spx. Earlier this week you (hopefully) saw Cold Specks perform Old Stepstone a capella on Jools Holland. Yesterday the 23-year old Canadian brought a new song to the stage on the extended show: album closer Lay Me Down . I am expecting very big things of her in 2012, and this just confirms my expectations. Her debut single Holland is out now via paradYse .
