I`ve resisted the urge to lazily post any videos for at least a week or two, mp3`s are suitably subtle while videos get right into your face - that`s the beauty of life i`m afraid, well You-Tube philosophy anyway. The `Connett` track `Madamoiselle` was the result of an invitation to Paul Weller`s Black Barn Studio by the Mod-Fella himself. There`s nothing like a touch of god-like recommendation to grease those creative juices. Riding a wave of international acclaim, The Drums have shared the new "Down By The Water" video which premiered on Stereogum. Produced by Brian and Brad Palmer of SURROUND and The Drums the video reflects the band's vision of elegant simplicity. "Both the video and song are a tribute to the girl groups of the '50s and '60s, a great inspiration to the band and one of the reasons we started it," explains the band. A true departure from earlier singles the band slows the tempo showing their versatility with this new track.

I think I need to eat some humble pie! Having been into these guys and then not enjoying them on the NME Tour, I'm loving them all over again. This has the real feel of how I hoped these guys would sound. It's lo-fi and has beautiful harmonies. Eu acho The Drums uma banda bonitinha que toca bonitinho e tem músicas bonitinhas. Diz um amigo meu que é como o Best Coast. No concordo, simpatizo mais com o draminha do Best Coast. Mas o The Drums tem o Connor Hanwick como baterista, ele incrementa a banda, ele é o queijo no bolinho de arroz. Acho ele muito cool! The band is poised to embark on a hot-shit co-headlining tour with Floridian phenoms Surfer Blood this month, and the quartet kicked booty during slots at the Reading and Leeds festivals.
