Esteemed London electronic producer Four Tet 's new album Pink is officially out, and while it is labelled as a "new album", it's mostly comprised of material previously released solely on vinyl. Now, I say mostly because two of the songs on the album are actually brand new. "Lion" and "Peace On Earth" are extensive cuts, the former reaching 9 minutes while the latters spans 11-and-a-half, and the hefty length means a lot of build up. Four Tet just released his latest album, 'Pink', which is made-up of all the miscellaneous singles he has been putting out lately. However, there are two new tracks on the album, "Peace For Earth" and "Lion" that were previously unreleased, and you can check them out below.

On Four Tet's new album, Pink , mastermind Hebden collects all of his previouly vinyl-only singles from his Text label. In addition to those singles, two new songs will appear, the beatifully low-key instrumentals "Lions" and "Peace For Earth". Stream both below.

The album also includes two new tracks, both of which hover around 10 minutes in length and both of which are serious IDM bangers. "Lion" is a retro, house-influenced jam that recalled Aphex Twin's first collection of so-called ambient music, while the slightly longer "Peace For Earth" is a bit dreamier and forward thinking, with some woozy, disparate synths that give way to lush pads that definitely invoke [...]

For anyone who's been following the electronic veteran closely, it's more of an odds and ends collection of everything he's released for vinyl only, out now digitally to spread to the masses. While the record is primarily obscure cuts from his discography, it does include two new songs. Both tracks are on the minimal side, stretching out to 9 and 11 minute running times respectively, and focusing on gradual progressions and intricate buildups.
