For someone who grew up in a small town where the only music you could be exposed to was on MTV, 19902s movie soundtracks were one of the few portals to discovering music. "Stuck In The Middle With You" appeared on the Biodome soundtrack and in Reservoir Dogs , cementing it deep in the loins of pop culture, and it's a great song. Songwriter Gerry Rafferty of Stealer's Wheel died today, after being hospitalized with liver complications. Give this tune a spin, R.I.P.! [...]

It's about time for a "Friday Five," no? This month I'm pretty excited about, because I've been mulling this one over for months since I was in a bar that had Ray Charles' "What'd I Say" playing.
