I may not have mentioned this before but here at Irk The Purists Towers we have an annual "Sounds Like Ladytron" competition for the song that most accurately apes said group but which isn't actually Ladyton. Female artists definitely have a monopoly on musical creativity in the current industry, producing the most exciting output of pop. Paralleling this is the significant influence of Swedish electro-pop. So Swedish female musicians are a match made in heaven, right? It's insanely catchy, it's got a wacky, infinitely rewatchable music video, and it comes from literally the last person you would ever expect to release a huge, catchy dance track. Remember this video? Yeah, that one. The one with the woman licking the tree in a highly sexual fashion while the weird synth music plays behind her. At first, iamamiwhoami was a strange anomaly that no one could figure out. Was it Trent Reznor's new side-project? (He denied it after being hounded with questions throughout early 2010.) We've had a number of visuals from iamamiwhoami in recent months and the final piece of the beautiful puzzle has now been uploaded to Youtube for a track called "Goods". Watch it at the top and head over to the official page to check out the rest of the videos. They're all stunning. All of the tracks are set to feature on Kin which is out next week on the 11th of June.

La canción viene acompañada de un video muy sencillo, donde Jonna lanza varios de sus mejores pasos de baile, algunos muy inclinados a la década de los 70. iamamiwhoami's last installment before the release of their first studio album Kin, an audiovisual project, due to be released on June, 11 2012 through their own label To whom it may concern., in conjunction with the British Cooperative Music. Currently, Lee's only confirmed collaborator within the project is her long-time producer Claes Björklund. They are managed by the UK-based DEF Management. Goods is the final chapter in iamamiwhoami 's audio-visual "full-length" piece of art Kin - calling it an album really doesn't do it enough justice. It is the 9th installment in a series of videos visual masterpieces, needless to say it's a treat for both ears and eyes. Kin is out on June 11, yet you can already watch all nine videos right here .
