Pearl's Dream the latest video from the infectious sophomore of breathy songstress Bat For Lashes finds Natasha Khan in Margiela-like wig garb...trapped in a giant Solar System diorama...with a wolf...while her blonde wigged doppelganger/alter ego watches on. It's far less confusing than it sounds. Between the wild animals, planets, smoke machines and lighting bolts the clip could be accused of delving into new age cheese but Khan is so gosh darned charming we'll let it slide. This is the brand new video from Natasha Khan, aka Bat For Lashes , and it seamlessly continues the trend for all things animal related. Yeah Yeah Yeahs featured a cat (of sorts), Patrick Wolf has an animal for a surname and now there's an actual wolf in this video for the brilliant 'Pearl's Dream'. For those not au fait with Khan's alter-ego shtick, it's best to think of Pearl as Natasha's Sasha Fierce, which only makes sense if you know your Beyoncé trivia, which I like to think you do. [...]

Check out the brand-new video for Bat for Lashes' new single "Pearl's Dream" that was directed by award-winning music video director Nima Nourizdah (Santigold, Franz Ferdinand). The video features singer Natasha Khan in a full spandex leotard with wings (Brandon Flowers take note), performing in a home-made solar system while being watched by her alter-ego in a blonde wig. Pearl's Dream is taken from one of our favorite albums of the year (so far), Two Suns .  Dive in to witness brunette Natasha Kahn take on a blond version of herself.  There's also a snarling wolf, illuminated planets and an outfit that appears to have been stolen from the closet of Brandon Flowers .  Amazing album, great song, and nice accompanying video of of mystic wonder.  Feast on the below:
