One of the bands that I heard for the first time down at SXSW this year was Australia's The Temper Trap . I even liked them enough to do a small spotlight post about them when I got back. What I somehow missed at the time, though, was that the band released a video in mid-March for the song "Science of Fear." Thanks to Torr , however, I now know it exists. I blame all the green beer we may or may not have been drinking when we should have been scouring the internet!

This video is very well a candidate for our favorite of the year. So far anyways. It's sort of exactly what we envision when we listen to the super-intelligent, way infectious indie rock that this band exerts. Oh, and by the way, just pick up your jaw from the ground. Just like that, hypeworthy Aussie act The Temper Trap (who just rocked the shit out of Mercury Lounge on Monday) gets a glitchy acid remix from superstar Herve . "Science Of Fear" gets all blipped out and funked, bent and tweaked to within an inch [...]
