While on tour in Toronto recently, Handsome Furs busted out some new joints, including "Great Decision," the icy-New Order-esque jam that is above. So apparently there's no Wolf Parade album on the horizon: Boeckner is busy writing seven minute jams for Handsome Furs. [ You Ain't No Picasso ]

Handsome Furs showcase new song! Originally posted over at Snakes Got A Blog , Handsome Furs were filmed performing a new song "A Great Decision" at Lee's Palace (Toronto, Ontario) on December 5, 2009. After conquering the world through extensive touring/sight seeing, I'd be surprised if this is the only new tune the band has written since Face Control. I can only imagine how great the studio cut will sound...

Thanks to SGAB for pointing me to this new Handsome Furs song. It sounds like a welcome addition to their catalogue, but I look forward to hearing a studio version. It sounds like they really nailed the guitar/key dual riff in post-verse of this one. Also the title is no doubt pulled from the banter [...]
