The above version was made for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa this summer (July?). But this new version just dropped last week as well: " K’naan’s “Wavin’ Flag” is one of the standout tracks from his Troubadour album and has become something of a phenomenon thanks to its timely message of strength and solidarity. Je vous parlais de ce titre du rappeur canadien K'naan il y a quelques jours, et après la version originale de "Wavin' Flag" , extraite de son excellent album "Troubadour" , puis la version remixée pour la campagne Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup , et avant celle enregistrée avec le français Féfé , voici à nouveau "Wavin' Flag" , repris cette fois par une cinquantaine d'artistes canadiens. The Americans redid " We Are the World " for Haiti and the British covered R.E.M.'s " Everybody Hurts " so now the Canadians are making their own musical contribution to Haiti. Somali musician K'Naan has made quite an impact with his uplifting song "Wavin' Flag" as it is the this 2010 theme song for the Fifa World Cup and now Canada's choice for a song for Haiti.
