There is a lot to be said on motivations behind bands covering songs. Truth is that even though we (the critical masses) think we know everything, only each artist can say for sure why he or she decided to cover a particular song. Some songs get covered by everyone ("All Along the Watchtower"). Some songs get covered it seems as a cry for help, or in hope that a blog will pick it up.
