Yesterday we mentioned that there was a secret opener for tonight's long-sold-out Grimes show at Bowery Ballroom. There's something profound about singing and dancing alone to something in your room. Personally, it happens pretty often, with a pretty unpredictable soundtrack, although a Prince is a pretty consistent go-to. By now you should all have taken our advice and checked out Blood Orange 's delightful 2011 album Coastal Grooves , one of my favorites on it is Champagne Coast , and a few days ago a 902s computer game inspired video was premiered. In it a variety of animated girls dance their lives away in their bedrooms to the sexy tune. This is a great video from Blood Orange, whose debut, Coastal Grooves , was one of the more under-rated records of 2011. Anyway check this out - it's cool.

Blood Orange has a new music video for their single, "Champagne Coast", off of new release, Coastal Grooves. Recently, Blood Orange played an in-store performance at Origami Vinyl but currently has no tour dates scheduled locally. We'll keep you posted...
