Devonté Hynes  is from Houston but was raised in the UK.  He has been bouncing back and forth between Los Angeles and New York City for the past three years. Devonté has produced a lot of music. Some for himself: Test Icicles, Lightspeed Champion and some for others: Basement Jaxx, Florence+The Machine, Theophilus London, Solange Knowles, Cassie, Diana Vickers. Directed by Haley Wollens and animated by Andreas 'Nout' Schmidt Blood Orange 's Coastal Grooves  featured number 'Champagne Coast' has a fantastic new video. The weird and wonderful mixed media visuals have created a rather surreal alternate reality for the slinky, down tempo beats of Dev Hynes.

This was my favorite song of 2011 and it finally gets some official visuals. I love that Dev Hynes just gets a bunch of babes to dance to his slow jam for the music video. He's such a pimp. Can't wait to see him rip it up in A.C. in a few weekends. Florence who?
