Bea Arthur has passed away. She was the actress who brought to life the roles of Maude Finley and Dorothy Zbornak and won an Emmy for each role. TMZ is reporting that she passed away at her home early this morning. A spokesman for the family has confirmed her passing. In 1972, Bea Arthur was cast as the title character in the television series Maude. She played Maude Findlay, an outspoken liberal living in the affluent community of Tuckahoe, Westchester County, New York, with her husband, Walter (Bill Macy) and divorced daughter Carol (Adrienne Barbeau).
