Britney has been appearing in recent promo ads for the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. We're sure all of you remember her disastrous performance at the award show last year, but there's rumor that Britney may be getting a second chance, and the two promo ads below certainly seem to allude to that (which, by the way, she looks damn good in!). We'd love to see Britney bounce back with a killer performance... and we'd love to see another train wreck almost as much. Kidding! Watch the VMA's on September 7th. [...]

MTV is only confirming Lil Wayne and the Jonas Brothers as far as guests for the Sept. 7 Video Music Awards go, but you have to admit that Britney Spears looks pretty good flirting with host Russell Brand in the promos for the telecast. (And I'll admit: I can't help but wonder how much of the channel's target demographic gets the whole "elephant in the room" thing beyond the kind of amazing visual.) [ AP / YouTube ]

A lot can happen in a year. Britney Spears looks much better in the new promos for this years MTV VMA's and we are happy for her! Bitch got back on track! That elephant is pretty hot too ;)
