Dirty Projectors Live In Minneapolis (3/6/09)
As our Nick Neyland said in his write-up announcing the new Dirty Projectors album, Bitte Orca , Dirty Projectors are probably the 21st Century's closest equivalent to the Talking Heads. Given this clip of the band doing Orca' s opening track "Cannibal Resource" they're well on their way to cementing that--it's all high, twitchy vocals and sterling clean guitar lines. It was an amazing show. The band won me over for life. Beyond that, I scored front row seats and caught some great footage. I am a particularly big fan of the acoustic version of "Depression" off of "Rise Above." The band just signed to Domino, so expect a new record soon. For big screen HD versions, [...]
