At their October 31st show at the Louisville Palace, supergroup Monsters of Folk channeled the rock gods KISS, complete with chains and eight-inch heels. Check out the fan video below.

Ever wonder what Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, Jim James and M. Ward would look like covering Kiss in full Kiss make-up? Me either. It never even crossed my mind, but I sure as hell wanted to see it when I heard about it. Here's Monsters of Folk performing "Detroit Rock City" in Louisville, Halloween night. In a recent post we lamented on whether or not Conor Oberst does Halloween concerts, as they might hopefully make him feel less alone with everyone in their mask and costume with him on stage. Well, as it turns out not only does he do them, but he does them very very well. With his Monsters Of Folks team of indie-folk superheroes (him, M. El sábado pasado fue noche de brujas (esperamos que lo hayan pasado bien, y por cierto, feliz día de muertos) y los muchachos de Monsters of Folk tuvieron la grandiosa idea de disfrazarse para el concierto que ofrecieron esa noche, ni más ni menos que de Kiss. Sorprendente, pues pensábamos que no podrían salir de esas camisas a cuadros y la espiga de trigo en la boca, ya saben, con sus guitarritas acústicas y todo eso, pero hasta hicieron una versión de "Detroit Rock City". Hay registro de éste suceso con cámara de video después del salto.

Jambands aren't the only acts that can have fun on Halloween, as the members of the indie-folk super-group the Monsters Of Folk upped the ante on Saturday night in Louisville by donning full on KISS costumes for a cover of the band's signature song Detroit Rock City... This was certainly the case on Saturday night, when indie-supergroup Monsters of Folk took the stage at the Palace Theatre in Louisville. Seeing how particularly Conor Oberst, Yim Yames, and M.
