My Morning Jacket closes out their month-long summer tour with Band of Horses Sunday, Aug. 26 at the downtown Raleigh Amphitheater . In an act of divine, facial-haired intervention, Jim James and co. have collaborated with Zach Galifiankis on a video for My Morning Jacket's "Outta My System." The treatment for this Circuital track features the wandering frontman, who after jumping into a desert rabbit hole finds himself in a strange, animated world that's trippy even by MMJ standards. My Morning Jacket have posted their video for "Outta My System." It features comedian and actor Zach Galifianakis ( Bored to Death , The Hangover ) The track comes from last year's Circuital . The original song was actually written by frontman Jim James for the recent Muppets movie with the plan that Dr.Teeth & the Electric Mayhem would actually perform it. When it was left unused, the band recorded for their own album.

My Morning Jacket just released this adorably trippy video for their song "Outta My System." It features Zach Galifianakis in a non-speaking animated cameo (so... not really featuring at all, actually) as a wizard in this apocalyptic wasteland they find themselves in.

Zach Galifanakis certainly meets the facial hair requirements of hanging around with My Morning Jacket, which probably explains why he appears in their new video for their song, "Outta My System". "Outta My System" is one of our favorite tracks off of one of our favorite albums of last year, Circuital .  The tune which was originally written as an Electric Mayhem band track for the new Muppets movie now has a video of it's own.  The new animated video features Yim Yames in his fuzzy touring boots and Zach Galifianakis as a trippy wizard.  Long story short, it's worth a watch.

Jason Noble , guitarist and vocalist for Rodan , Rachel's , and Shipping News , passed away Saturday morning according to a press release published online by his family. Noble was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and had been undergoing treatment ever since.
