A few days ago we got the word that MMJ would be releasing an EP full of remixes to Outta My System . Today they have released the trippy visuals to the original featuring Zach Galifianakis, who is credited even though he is animated and has a non-speaking role. The last time I saw them link up was at Bonnaroo a few years ago when Zach came out in an orphan "Annie" costume , which was quite hilarious. This goes out to the recent graduates who still haven't gotten partying out of their system yet. [...]

The first line of My Morning Jacket's "Outta My System is, "They told me not to smoke drugs but I didn't listen." The video makes that admission pretty damn explicit, if not entirely unnecessary. The clip is a super-trippy cartoon directed by James Frost, starring an animated MMJ (Jim James is inexplicably a cyclops) and Zach Galifianakis as a wizard. When My Morning Jacket dropped their latest album Circuital last year I'd only heard maybe two tracks from the band's 14 year career, somehow always managing to avoid their music, so I sat down with the album and fell in love right away.
