Dirty Projectors are an American rock band, consisting of David Longstreth (vocals, guitar, musical direction; born December 17, 1981), Amber Coffman (vocals, guitar), Angel Deradoorian (vocals, keyboard, samples, guitar, bass), Mike Johnson (drums), Nat Baldwin (bass), and Haley Dekle (vocals). They have released seven full-length albums. "Dance for You" is the second glimpse we are given of Dirty Projectors' forthcoming LP, Swing Lo Magellan . The lighthearted tune sits in the center of the album, and is in exemplary DP form (kind of an oxymoron). "I ran across cyanide plains/ Mind like a prison cell, but feet untethered and sane," Longstreth croons into a syncopated shuffle. There seems to be a developing theme with exploration and geography, emphasized by the album's namesake. Dirty Projectors have a colorful new video out for their swaggering single "Gun Has No Trigger." In the press release, frontman David Longstreth said that they strived for the iconic aesthetic of the iPod commercials from the mid-2000s, and that influence certainly shows. The clip features Longstreth and the other Projectors (sans Angel Deradoorian) silhouetted against a colorful background that transforms as light begins to shine on the changing faces of the band members. Just a few days ago Tanlines must have been going through some old remixes and uploaded this track done up from 2010 onto their Soundcloud page .  However, in light of the weekend spirit, we couldn't resist posting this dreamy track with vocals by Brooklyn-based Angel Deradoorian (of Dirty Projectors).  The track brings in a feel like that of Beach House with the lovely vocals of Deradoorian.  If you have a working Summer 2012 playlist, this track needs to be on it.
