Dirty Projectors ’ video for “Gun Has No Trigger,” the first single off their upcoming album Swing Lo Magellan , evokes a darker version of the iconic iPod dancing silhouette adverts. Shadowy figures sing along to the track's haunting tune as the background subtly shifts from one jewel tone to another. Two thirds into the video, the singing figure of vocalist David Longstreth is revealed, finally discarding the silhouette motif for only a short time before fading back to black. The Dirty Projectors are releasing their 12th studio album. Swing Lo Magellan , the follow up to the 2010 EP Mount Wittenburg on July 9th. We already got to hear the first single "Gun Has No Trigger" a few weeks back, but now the band follows up with the video. Directed and created by Frontman Dave Longstreth , he films the band individually as dark silhouettes with various colors behind. Today we see  Dirty Projectors frontman Dave Longstreth takes to the director's chair for the band's newest music video for recently released single, "Gun Has No Trigger". The epic track will land on the forthcoming project,  Swing Lo Magellan , which is actually number 12 in the band's catalog. The video features a slew of silhouettes from each of the members, as the camera cuts between vibrantly colored backgrounds. Simple, yet effective.  Swing Lo Magellan is due out July 10 via Domino Records.

In support of "Swing Lo Magellan," Dirty Projectors ' new album out July 10th, the band has unveiled this video for lead single "Gun Has No Trigger". We have a brand new visual from Dirty Projectors for the great sounding track "Gun Has No Trigger", the lead single from Swing Lo Magellan . Bright colours and silhouettes of the band are the main focus keeping it pretty simple but stylish at the same time. Dirty Projectors are back, and last night they decided to share visuals for their most recent single, "Gun Has No Trigger." The video is a straightforward one, but it still manages to get a little trippy and act as a fitting accompaniment to the excellent first single.
