Who is Captain Murphy ? Earlier this week he popped up on a brand new Flying Lotus track with Earl Sweatshirt and today, FlyLo points us to another (great) track with no answers. The Madvillainy indebted (or perhaps parodying?) "Mighty Morphin Foreskin" has just bred more theories, some stranger than others. When a mysterious man named Captain Murphy popped up on the new Flying Lotus track the other day, many were scratching their heads. The mystery of Captain Murphy's identity remains unsolved, but thanks to a tweet from FlyLo himself , we've gotten another piece of the puzzle. The cartoon-sampling jam is called "Mighty Morphin Foreskin" and you can hear it for yourself below. It sounds like Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, the Creator rapping over each other and distorted like Madlib's Quasimoto character. Let's wait and see..

My guess is that Captain Murphy is Flying Lotus ' rapping alter ego, with help from Tyler the Creator , and Earl Sweatshirt . "Mighty Morphin Foreskin" exists in the same realm as Quasimoto , and this tweet / this tune /the Sealab 2021 reference will have me surprised if it's somebody else. If you listened to Flying Lotus' new tune, "Between Friends", chances are you went nuts over the Earl Sweatshirt collaboration and then wondered, "Who the hell is Captain Murphy?!" Well, some are speculating that it's an alter-ego of FlyLo, Earl, or even Tyler, the Creator. Honestly, you can hear touches of both Earl and Tyler in the raps both on that track  and "Mighty Morphin Foreskin". But maybe it's actually FlyLo spitting? Who knows. Either way, it's pretty dope and that beat is  nuts . Wait: Maybe it's Earl  and Tyler. Oof.

A dude named Captain Murphy popped up on the new Flying Lotus + Earl Sweatshirt single earlier today , and FlyLo just shared this link to another track by the mysterious rapper. Most people seem to think it's either Tyler or Earl, but either way this one sounds like another stellar Flying Lotus production as well, recalling some of Doom + Madlib's best.
