Video: Lil Wayne, David Guetta, Chris Brown, Deadmau5, and Foo Fighters 2012 Grammy Performance

Last night's Grammy Awards ceremony was possibly the most awkward product to come out of the music industry since, well, last year's terrible John Mayer "Jolene" tribute at the Grammys. The inevitable red-carpet polling about Whitney Houston's death ranged from cringe-worthy to outright ghoulish, and the range of impromptu supergroups was baffling, disturbing, and eccentric, to say the least. From Bon Iver's mumbled acceptance speech to Brian Wilson's never-wished-for collaboration with Maroon 5 and Foster the People, the whole night was full of moments that made music lovers scratch our heads and wonder whether the entire show had been pasted [...]

It was expected that Adele would take home the big awards last night and she did a clean sweep, going 6 for 6 in some major categories including Record of the Year , Song of the Year , and Album of the Year for 21 . The show was hosted by LL Cool J , who still seems to have dry lips after 30+ years in the music business. In addition to Skrillex's three big wins , The Grammy Awards paid tribute to dance music with back-to-back performances from David Guetta and Deadmau5. Guetta was joined by Chris Brown and Lil Wayne as he spun from a LED screen-enveloped DJ booth that resembled something from Star Trek . As the song came to an end, the cameras spun around to the other end of the tent set up outside the Staples Center to a second stage.
