World Vegetarian Week this year has been a celebration of beans and cauliflower. In a number of dishes I've actually married the two, some purposefully some...not so much. It's always surprising when one stumbles upon a great band out of nowhere, but in the case of Brooklynites Carousel [ Website / Facebook ] - again with the Brooklynites! They seem to be responsible for some of the best music going these days - the surprise has more to do with the fact that they haven't been signed yet. Berklee College Of Music has a bit of previous with regard to spawning successful bands. Passion Pit attended the famous institution, and we would not be at all surprised to see Carousel become their latest famous alumni. Sometimes you listen to a band and you can immediately see them on MTV. That's Carousel. They've only been around since August 2011, so their success since then has been something to behold. Becoming something of a Hype Machine monster, tracks like Where Have You Gone have been like more times than a Kim Kardashian video [...]
