Though I'd been uploading music to the Internet since the beginning of the decade, my first real mix was a collection of Christmas songs posted back in 2005. These last four years have been an interesting trip; through music blogging I've made the acquaintance and friendship of endless talented musicians, writers, artists and knowledgeable music lovers, many that taught me a thing or two. Usually, my yearly Christmas post looks back at the accomplishments of the past twelve months, there's no danger of that occurring this time 'round. It's been a somber and sobering year for most that read this, [...]
The good, the god awful, and the early Boys II Men. GottaBeAndrew, "It's Christmas" Christmas is the greatest time of year. But to enjoy it most, we need to get out of bed. <embed src=" http://www.youtube.com/v/ujZsF OGT-Ko&hl=en_US&fs=1...
Okay, I acknowledge that this video has been out for about a month now, and I didn't get around to watching it until tonight (along with the Muppets take on "Bohemian Rhapsody" ). I can now attest that after one viewing, you may consider my opinion of both videos as "awesome"... Share:
HANK ALTOGETHER: Hands down one of the WEIRDEST videos of all time.
We may be stretching it a bit here to call this next item "music" news, but this is just too damn good to pass up. Tonight, MTV (hey, they used to play music, way back in the dark ages when... Support indie media! Read the rest at thephoenix.com . . .

Rock legend Bob Dylan is fuming after critics accused him of making a Christmas covers album as a joke. Dylan's decision to release a disc of his favourite festive hits - called Christmas in the Heart -- left some commentators bemused, and speculating the project is a gimmick. Their suspicions were further heightened with the unveiling of Dylan's promo for the disc's first single, Must Be Santa, in which he ditches his super-serious, grumpy image and dons a Santa hat to host a raucous [...]
With Thanksgiving now behind us and Hanukkah and Christmas quickly approaching, we thought we'd get into the holiday spirit. While there isn't too much we've found this year in the way of hipster holiday music, we will put our stamp of approval on Bob Dylan's oddly enjoyable first foray into the realm of yuletide tunes - Christmas In the Heart . The 15-track set, the 34th studio album in Dylan's long and storied career, mixes the traditional classics with a handful of originals. All proceeds from Christmas [...]
What better way to usher in the Christmas Season with Bob Dylan wearing a wig, appearing half drunk at a party singing a polka? Enjoy!

It's the time of giving, sharing, and holiday fun. This year Bob Dylan released a Christmas album titled "Christmas in the Heart." In my book, Bob Dylan can do no wrong. Is it kind of tacky and weird? Sure, but it's Bob Dylan and he can do whatever he wants and he will whether you like it or not. He's written enough hits to prove he's pure talent and a genius songwriter. He became famous during a time when talent was required unlike most "artists" you hear on the radio today. If [...]

This video for "Must Be Santa" comes from Dylan's 47th album, Christmas In The Heart . Despite its release in mid-October, I have given it a few warm weather spins and each time it just makes me warm and cherry to hear Dylan doing Christmas. All of the artist's U.S. royalties into the future from sales of Christmas In The Heart will be donated to Feeding America. Must Be Santa [...]
It's the funniest Dylna music video ever! His straight long hair is quite amazing!

Bob Dylan @ United Palace Theatre - 11/17/09 ( Frank Beacham ) Even Bob Dylan can't be Bob Dylan all the time. The 68-year-old Boy From the North Country born Robert Allen Zimmerman has been trying to break his own myth since the mid-'60s, when he alienated fans of his early folk albums by plugging in and rocking out. Since then, his muse has come and gone, but his contrarian streak has been a constant. For the past 20 years, the road has been constant [...]
