Rock 'n' Roll: The Boat That Rocked / Pirate Radio (movie)

Rock 'n' Roll: The Boat That Rocked / Pirate Radio (movie) First of all, the trailer is all crap. It's a good introduction, but it doesn't reflect the plot of the movie or what it stands for. I guess the studios behind the movie got scared of having a real message. It often seems like the business moguls of the entertainment world deem humanity even stupider than it really is. That is anoying. That aside, Pirate Radio (a.k.a The Boat That Rocked) is a great movie about great times and mostly about the love for music. Yes, it's simplistic. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Richard Curtis ' body of work (screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill , and writer/director of Love Actually ), but I'm mildly interested in Pirate Radio , which opens nationwide on November 13th. Curtis, who hails from New Zealand, apparently came up with concept for the film about a band of merry pirate radio station DJs set in the '60s about ten years ago but kept the idea on the back burner while working on other film projects.
