Dopo “Bitte Orca”, del 2009, esce con Domino il nuovo album dei Dirty Projectors, “Swing Lo Magellan”, in USA il 10 luglio, un giorno prima nel resto del mondo. La tracklist è in fondo a questo articolo, mentre l’antipasto è il singolo “Gun has no trigger”. Materiaalista ei ilmeisesti ollut pulaa, sillä nokkamies Dave Longstreth on kertonut säveltäneensä 70 uutta kappaletta, josta levylle tislautui lopulta 12. I know I'm not the only one who can't wait for the new Dirty Projectors album Swing Lo Magellan to come out. Their new single Gun Has No Trigger after few bars in has me wondering if this was actually a Danger Mouse production. Dark and psychedelic sounds layered with gritty compressed live drum recordings serves as the perfect backdrop to lead vocalist David Longstreth's ominous lyrics. Dirty Projectors release a new single, teasing toward the release of the band's latest album, Swing Lo Magellan . It'll be out on July 10th via Domino. While Dirty Projectors has had its accessible moments in the past-and the group's albums have definitely been foreshadowing a move toward poppier sounds-it's pretty surprising to hear Dave Longstreth and company on a track like this. It’s been a while since art rock super troopers The Dirty Projectors released some new material. Coming off their 2009 critically acclaimed  Bitte Orca  and their collaboration album with the none other than Björk on  Mount Wittenberg Orca  in 2010,   DP has enjoyed quite a bit of love and attention from college radio and indie music blogs alike, but it seems like they went underground for a while- or rather above ground on the music festival circuit. La date de sortie n'est pas encore annoncée (à moins qu'il faille déchiffrer les hiéroglyphes) mais les Dirty Projectors sortent déjà le premier single de leur prochain album : « Gun Has No Trigger ». Le groupe est d'ores et déjà programmé au Pitchfork Festival à Chicago, on croise les doigts pour qu'ils fassent un crochet par la France pour la deuxième édition notamment.
