We enjoyed this Dent May track quite alot last month, and now you can catch the very homey and cute video for “Best Friend”. We go a long for a trip down to Jackson, MS, to go visit with Dent and all his best friends, bad greenscreen and all. I would have been very disappointed if he didn’t put out a video, exactly like this. The sophomore release, Do Things , is out June 12th through Paw Tracks. Dent May - Best Friend 

There's something incredibly charming about Mississippi native Dent May that I haven't quite put my finger on yet. It's almost as if he's the less suave more indie/electro-crooney version of Mayer Hawthorne. A couple of days ago he unveiled the video for his current single, "Best Friend" which features Dent May and friends in his hometown of Jackson, MS. Dent May's sophomore release Do Things is out on June 12th via Paw Tracks. He is also currently on tour in the US, so make sure you check out the dates below. [...]

From what we can tell, most of Dent May 's new video for "Best Friend" pretty much just has the band riding around in cars or on a motorcycle with various shots of the band playing and doing a few weird things here and there. It looks like they could be traveling to a party; that's our best guess. What's yours? Dent May's new video was shot in Jackson, Mississippi, May describes the shoot as "a spontaneous hometown party weekend featuring an afternoon joy ride on a motor trike, a street parade of middle-aged ladies in psychedelic costumes, a green screen, and lots of balloons." Need we say more.

If you've followed this site or pretty much any independently leaning music blog over past few years, then there's a great chance you've already heard of Dent May , and your ears have had the good pleasure of experiencing his fantastical pop magic. Here's his first official video release since 2009 and the first from his upcoming LP titled Do Things available June 12 from Paw Tracks . The "Best Friend" video was shot in May's hometown of Jackson, Mississippi and is directed by fellow Mississippi native, James Alexander Warren.

It must be very important because that is the first thing they tell us in the description.
