Photo Courtesy These musicians who I quote unquote here, happen to be inspired by Aztec Camera, have adopted for a more pop approach to their new album. Mystery Jets keep joyous harmonies and absolute fun in their music that this band remains a special place in my heart. Young Lov e featured folkster Laura Marling and though it may not be as well lauded Young Folks, it really gave some tough competition! Check out the video below, too. Have a happy Sunday everyone! Sundays should be spent looking at lovely things and listening to aural treats, but preferably from a comfy seat with slippers and tea. So here is a few yum things for you to digest along with your roast... These vids are by a chap called James Copeman, who at current hasn't done masses of music videos, but he is slowly doing his rounds amongst the folk scene. [...]
the presence of Laura Marling pretty much guarantees this will be great for me, but upon further inspection, we learn that 1- this record was produced by Erol Alkan and 2- the video is brilliant…
The previous Mystery Jets album came and went without making much of an impression. But after hearing (and seeing) some of their new songs, I might just have to give them another chance. Haha brilliant.
io non ci sto. Dicci. Dimmelo.
Laura Marling is hot Daisy x
If you'd told me two years ago that The Mystery Jets would make one of the best pop albums of 2008, I think I would've scoffed. Here was a band who claimed King Crimson to be a primary influence, and who never met 17 disparate musical ideas that they didn't like and want to put all into the same song. Not that they didn't have some good songs ("You Can't Fool Me Dennis" made my Best Singles of 2005 list ) but The Mystery Jets were just too damn inclusive. [...]
I had a 'hot date' to go and see these last night. The Mystery Jets were pretty much great. But my date was far more exciting. Enjoy this lovely song. Find someone to hold hands with to it. Mystery Jets (feat. the very beautiful Laura Marling) - Young Love
I grabbed a copy of Mystery Jets ' so-called attempt at a Christmas #1 , "Flakes," back in December sometime, but it wasn't until I was on a bus heading back from Boston back in March after having spent the weekend maybe listening to too much Nightmare of You that it really caught my attention and I put these guys on my "listen to more" list. So apparently the 'Jets have just released their second record, Twenty One , in the UK. (I don't really pay well enough attention to this sort of thing.) It [...]
I like to think I'm not someone to get all hot and heavy over the latest buzz band out of the UK. In fact, I'm usually at pains to avoid even listening to the critics' faves. Sometimes this is to my detriment, other times to my benefit. Luckily I hadn't read a lot in the press about Mystery Jets before their second album Twenty-One hit stores and the internet. If I had, you probably wouldn't have been reading this post. And I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the melodic, brit-poppy goodness [...]
there's a good chance you've already heard this track and love it. if that last sentence is wrong because you've not heard it, fair doos but what the fuck are you doing with your life, if it was wrong because you don't love it then you're a bint. let me explain, the mystery jets (or just "mystery jets" for the anally retentive) are back, and without the old guy this time, with a new album titled "21". their new single (well it was new but i'm a bit late to the party) is "young [...]
A shake-up in the line-up causes Mystery Jets to revamp their sound toward playful pop, for a more palatable album the second time around.
Über-Great popsong by a great band with a great video produced by (great) Erol Alkan with guest vocals by great folksinger Laura Marling. Well, comes very close to perfection in my eyes/ears. They have an album coming called "Twenty-One" which completely blew me away. This is MY POP! If you like Orange Juice, Franz Ferdinand and the pop songs of Madness: this is for you! Simply LOVE IT! (there is an album-sampler you can listen to at their myspace, if you don't beleive my words...as they are hard to beleive...) http://www.myspace.com/mystery jets [...]

You wrote your number on my hand and it came off in the rain. Mystery Jets - Young Love (feat. Laura Marling)
The Mystery Jets are apparently coming out with a new album, even though they were never really all that great. This new song of theirs however is kind of amazing. The original is a fun song, but the remix is 2x better. and like always, laura marling adds a great semi-sullen feel, even though all i want to do is dance. It's been a while since we looked at the current singles charts, so I thought we'd check out the UK Top 100 Singles this week. But yeah, the Top 10 was pretty dull. How about we look at the chart's new entries? Here's a few of the most interesting singles to hit the chart for [...]
