Childish Gambino murdered his set at Coachella, and to up the ante, he brought out Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown to help out with "Look Out For Detox." These three newcomers come from entirely unique corners of the rap spectrum. If you picture them each based on lyrical content, delivery, or image, you'll have three very different paintings. Still, seeing all three on stage together makes a lot of sense, and it's a good moment for hip-hop in 2012. ( Mostly Junk Food )

Some things are worth posting, even on a Sunday. Hip hop heads aren't too fond of Childish Gambino, and following Pitchfork's whipping, he went from hipster favorite to an easy target. All this hasn't changed the fact that Donald Glover seems to simply enjoy what he's doing, regardless of his lack of finesse. You may not envy the lyricism, but ya gotta give the kid a little credit. Especially when he's rolling with the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown. During his Coachella performance, Gambino brought out both MC's for a fiery rendition of "You Know Me" [...]

Yeah, there was a point in time where we thought Childish Gambino was worth listening to. Quickly, though, we realized he was one a pathetic excuse of an MC. With that said, he still does roll with good company. Like Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown , who he invited onstage during his miserable Coachella performance. While we do get a nice taste of Lamar and Brown ripping the mic, we have to find a way to get over Glover's incredibly irritating adlibs throughout.

On top of rocking Coachella's main stage today sporting a fat boot on his foot, Childish also brought out Kendrick Lamar & Danny Brown for some original bars. Pretty dope overall, cool as hell these dudes even give Gambino the respect to share the stage, all coming from entirely different backgrounds and what not. Gambino's "whoops" are annoying as hell though, gotta say.
