Filed under: Exclusive , RPM , New Music , Q + A Richmond Lam CFCF 's latest EP Exercise s is an eight-track array of airy synth ruminations, exquisite, tentative and masterful, diverging from the balearic pop of previous releases for territory somewhere between Philip Glass and Roger O'Donnell. We sat down the 24-year-old Montreal producer to discuss [...]

I can't get enough of the piano-laced synthetic vibes in CFCF's newer releases. The tracks are brilliantly designed and always seem to put me in a relaxing mood. Raining Patterns is a great example of that phenomenal piano sequence. Everything I come across is damn good! Mike Silver sure is one talented artist. He's signed to Paper Bag Records & Acephale Records. CFCF - Raining Patterns * [...]

Niedzielnym wieczorem proponuję CFCF z Montrealu. You Hear Colours, czyli jedni piszą o tym wiersze a inni dziwnie biegają po rozpikselowanym lesie. S.T.tees

CFCF has made waves here before . Now he's back, and this time with a full-length album. "Continent, the long awaited debut full length from Montreal's CFCF (aka Mike Silver), takes Silver's musical and visual influences and turns them to song, leading one through varying landscapes and moods. The album comes to us after a long string of remixes for HEALTH, The Presets, The Teenagers, and Hearts Revolution. In the time leading up to Continent, he released the Panesian Nights EP and The Explorers single, which featured label-mate and frequent collaborator [...]
Przeglądałem dziś Top 20 Rafika z kwietnia i trafiłem na tę kanadyjską perełkę. Nie wiem co robiłem wiosną i jak mogłem przegapić ten numer.

I have no idea who CFCF is [duh, Canadian dark-disco producer who featured on HEALTH//DISCO] and I'm largely ignorant to the work of Lil Wayne and Cassie. Nevertheless, I'm all over this shit atm - did someone say "Summer Anthem" already? I'm joining the gym tomorrow, look out for me in Platt Fields park rocking this jam out and hollaring at your girlfriend all summer long. I'll be the guy in the muscle vest. Salass. Cassie - Official Girl [feat. Lil Wayne] (CFCF remix) (YSI) [...]
I know CFCF 's new song is flying around blogs a lot lately. I can completely understand it, it's amazing stuff. I wouldn't normally post it because there's already a huge coverage but we received such a nice email from Acephale , the label behind the single, that I felt I have to write this. I've been on and on about CFCF, this Canadian guy has some hyptnotic power and I realized it at the HEALTH remix, anything he touches instantly gets his trademark sound, this weird combination of dark 80s synths-stuff and sick pop disco. His musical [...]

This pretty exquisite slice of Belearic dream pop entitled 'You Hear Colours' is taken from Toronto producer CFCF's new double a-side single which is the second release on Acephale Records following the 'Yes I Smoke Crack' EP from SALEM. As with that release it's strictly limited to 500 copies on seven inch white vinyl and it's almost sold out. The video by Tommyboy features footage from 'The Loneliness Of The long Distance Runner' and fits perfectly. mp3: cfcf - you hear colours.
