Avante Garde musician/poet Saul Williams—who visits Portland Sunday—has worked with a lot of artists: Trent Reznor, DJ Krust, DJ Spooky, Coldcut and recently, the Arditti Quartet. Each of these collaborations has sounded distinct (hell, anything Williams touches sounds unique), and each has been an experiment in genre-crossing.
