Video: Ray LaMontagne - You Are the Best Thing (Live at Saturday Night Live) - HQ

SNL continued to surprise me with its music picks by inviting backwoods troubadour Ray LaMontagne to join Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson at Studio 8H over the weekend. Ray would have been a perfect fit during the show's earliest years (think Joe Cocker, Levon Helm, Van Morrison), whereas booking the raspy singer/songwriter in 2009 seems somewhat inspired. Not inspired enough to justify watching the entire broadcast live, but I did anyway.
