A lot of mystery surrounds CHROMATICS , the ultra-dark, ambient electro group from Seattle/Portland. For starters, the much-anticipated LP "Shining Violence" has been floating around the dark corners of the internet, yet no sign of its actual release can be found anywhere, beyond vague rumors such as "end of summer 2007". Fuck yes. Chromatics have already released two of my favorite singles of 2007 (see " In the City " and " Night Drive "), but this might be the best of the bunch. You can officially add Chromatics to our 2007 "Please Play SXSW" wishlist. We keep hearing good things about their upcoming Shining Violence LP, and this song backs it all up.
