Death Grips have released a new music video for their single, "Double Helix", off of their recent release, The Money Store. No word yet on any of the recently cancelled Death Grips being rescheduled but we will keep you updated...

Sultry summer days deserve slaps of all shapes and sizes and sounds. And, as you may have noticed, we've made a few changes around here lately, so it seemed only appropriate to break in the new site with a collection of things we've had on repeat while the weather's been warming up. Highlights include Hodgy Beats restructuring some vintage D'Angelo, Mario's "Let Me Love You" getting a groovy overhaul, Poolside coming with a sticky summer jam, and Big Boi and Theophilus keeping it settled, if not subtle. Oh, and that DIIV video is crazy too. [...]
As far as low-budget creativity goes, nobody fuccin' with Death Grips videos .
Death Grips - Double Helix

photo by Nathan Howard Indie-rockers WHY? released the title track from their upcoming E.P. Sod In The Seed . Lead singer Yoni Wolf raps, or more accurately speak-sings in a style reminiscent of indie alt-rock icon CAKE, what appears to be highly articulate nonsense, under which lies a somber description of the numbness that accompanies modest success in today's music industry. But instead of your typical "being-a-rockstar-is-so-hard" whining, Wolf's sentiment feels like an honest reflection thanks to WHY?'s upbeat indie-pop sound and Wolf's charming lyrics: "I'll never shirk this [...]

Tema retirado de "Money Store", o álbum dos Death Grips editado em Maio, "Double Helix" tem agora um vídeo.
This is just the typical stuff you see in a rear view vehicle camera these days. Yep... just a normal guy doing normal things.

Would it shock you if we told you the latest Death Grips video is somewhat crazed? If it does, leave now. Only kidding, but ya really should know what these guys are about by now, and this video is no exception, it feels a bit rushed, amateurish, and yet, it works. It really works. Check out the hazy, bizarre clip below.
Death Grips drops some new visuals for the track "Double Helix." Like most music videos from these guys, the concept is simple, the budget it low, but it still manages to achieve a weird originality. Rapping into the camera built into the back of a car that's supposed to help drivers avoid accidents an incredibly "Death Grippy" concept. It actually works really well. The grainy, digital video quality looks like something you'd catch on one of those specials on TV where cops are pulling over crazy drunk drivers or something. If MC Ride isn't inebriated in this video, he certainly [...]
Death Grips have once again proven that you don't necessarily need a hefty budget to pull off a good music video. With each one they've released off their debut album, Exmilitary, and this year's follow-up, The Money Store , the Sacramento DIY noisemakers have made vocalist Stefan Burnett the primary visual focus. With his lanky, shirtless, tattooed frame and bearded face, he's somewhat mesmerizing, albeit in an intimidating way. Death Grips' video for "Double Helix" is their sixth visual treatment for The Money Store [...]

Another week another new no budget video from the immutable Death Grips . Still no word on why the tour was canceled or when, if ever, those dates will be made up, but the technologically twisted jams from The Money Store just keep coming. Next up, Double Helix .
Is that an anorexic Kimbo Slice dancing around a car park? Don't be silly, that's Stefan Burnett, the lead growler ... Continue reading
