The DEATH GRIPS may have pissed you all off when they cancelled every 012 live date they made you sell a kidney for to buy a ticket, but they certainly don't fail to impress with music videos. Check the hip-rap-poppers use a rearview camera in a rather cleaver way via new video, DOUBLE HELIX .

Here's the latest tune to come off Death Grips ' The Money Store album, and a new video to go with it. Double Helix is a self-directed video filmed entirely from the inside of a Toyota Prius using just the rearview camera. I love a nice bit of lo-fi visuals:

Whenever rap-punk outfit Death Grips release a music video, it never disappoints. The official video for their track "Double Helix" is no different, and is probably their most creative yet. Using the rearview camera of a Toyota Prius, the video sees frontman Stefan Burnett flailing and dancing frantically in his usual way. Definitely the best use of a Prius since it hit the market. Death Grips was one band in 2011 and early 2012 that grabbed my attention, rattled my damn brain, and blew out my eardrums with their aggressive, hardcore raps. A few years ago this would be something I'd never be into, but I can't stop listening to their catchy beats and experimental vocal work--it's not music you hear everyday. Today, the group returned with a video for "Double Helix" which is off the awesome album The Money Store . Hip hop punk rockers Death Grips are having their way with 2012. Having already released their record The Money Store this year, the Sacramento crew recently made news by first announcing new tour dates, then promptly canceled them all.  Their current focus is putting another record out before the end of this year. The very idea that a group like Death Grips could be signed to a major label in 2012 is an exciting one. A Death Grips song getting radio play feels about as likely as Mother Theresa singing Celine Dion duets with the Devil in Hell, but their signing to Epic a few months back seems a victory for unconventional, aggressive music-the type that would have made waves on CD's and badly dubbed cassettes in the 90s and fomented fervent fandom.
