In the great tradition of looking through people's new records, Amoeba Music in San Francisco presnts their latest installment of the "What's In My Bag?" series. This time we get to follow around the members of YACHT , Jona Bechtolt, Claire L. Evans, and Jeff "Jeffrey Jerusalem" Brodsky as they dig through the massive record store, search out rare cuts and show off some vinyl. Any list that starts off with a bootleg Descendents 7-inch is going to be good, but more endearing is when Portland's electro-pop innovators share the reasons behind their buys. [...]

The What's in my Bag? series at Amoeba in California continues with this installment from the DFA-signed electro-pop outfit Yacht. Jona Bechtolt, Claire L. Evans, and Jeff Brodsky from the band offer a glimpse at what they're purchasing in the store, including a Fly Girls compilation, an album named Psych Funk 101 , a Dion record, and the Minimal Wave Tapes Vol. 1 album. Best of all, Evans buys a Sparks album, proving that she has excellent taste. Aside from that, it certainly looks like Yacht is a band that enjoys their compilation albums. [...]
