New York Magazine has reported that Natalie Portman turned down a role because she couldn't understand the idea of celibacy. Portman was asked to portray a nun in the recently released "Doubt" starring Meryl Streep and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, but declined because "she didn't understand celibacy."
